Yeah it’s not hard. Most companies don’t do it because it destroys the battery. You see exactly the same thing in battery electronics. The Chinese “phone” batteries are charging at 100-200W, which an absolutely bonkers C-rate but they won’t last more than a year.

100% this. In the US there is minimal actual use case for uberfast DC charging outside road trips. Along highway corridors you can argue that there should be stations like this.
A more important implementation would actually be to have a normal AC plug at the curb in almost every public parking spot at residential, retail and office locations in the US. Slow-charge your car with a portable charger while you’re at work and overnight while you’re at home. This would cover 90% of use cases, and for those who it doesn’t, DC fast charging.
