The damage gambling does to society in general and families specifically is horrific. It’s one of those things that hotwires the reward systems of a persons brain as surely as alcohol or opioids. And it’s so casual, gambling, especially at this level, finds the people who are susceptible, and exploits them until they are rung out like a dry cloth.

You may be one of the people who can just casually gamble, and not understand why it’s so crazy destructive, or you could be 10 toes in a downward spiral, there’s no way for me to know.

This period of legalized gambling is going to go have a body count at the end of it, a huge one.
