I’m always weary of companies trying a bait and switch or scummy techniques. If you didn’t notice they might do a negative credit and they will hound you down for payment. I don’t trust freebies from companies.

There used to be a popular scam where someone would “accidentally” send money through Apple Pay and they’d demand you to return it, but since their money was actually fraudulent and yours weren’t, the fraudulent money given to you will be recalled and the legitimate money you gave to the scammer remains.
