I used to always go for the establishments with tons of ratings/reviews. Then I’d notice decreases in quality and value over the years, meanwhile people flocking like sheep, the whole thing just maintaining off of familiarity and online presence. So lately, my strategy with enshittification is to not hesitate in trying out new shops and restaurants that open. Because that’s when they’re trying the hardest to impress new customers. When quality and value start going downhill, that’s when I look for the next place to go. No more loyalty from me, I figure. It feels like waking up to the game. You use me, I use you✌🏼
