I highly doubt it. I think it skews self-identified autistic… because the self-diagnosis IME gives people more ‘runway’ to be assholes.

I also take this not just form the internet, but from real life social interactions. The biggest assholes always would front-loud their shitty behaviour by being like ‘oh i have this condition’. And that way if you tried to call out, you were the asshole.

And you also notice a the majority of their posting is all about how ‘hard they have it’… etc. Which is also how a lot of non-autistic people frame their lives, as perpetual struggle… they just don’t frame it around autism, they frame it around some other defining ‘flaw’ like lack of money, beauty, childhood, etc.

Plus the legit autistic people I have met… tended to be way nicer than the self diagnosed ones.
