Comment on On 9/11 what was the internet like after it happened? Did people quit being dicks or trolls and showed some decency? Or was it like we have today and nothing changed?

Correct. There was no reddit or Lemmy like things. The closest we had were BBS forums.

I was a mod on a pretty major one: IGN, and it was definitely dark after that happened. Not many posts at all. People all just unplugged from the internet for a bit to watch the news. Which was the style at the time.
