boonhet@sopuli.xyz 4 days agoThe fuck kinda dirt you got on your desks? Most modern high-end smartphones have really hard glass. If anything, the screen protectors people put on are much softer and get scratched easier (but are easily replaceable)

This used to be true but recently they started cheaping out. My Samsung Swhatever it is had glass scratches within a month of my buying it. My friend and my partner both bought the same phone and had the same experience - we had never had screen scratches on phones for like 10 years prior, so the glass is definitely shitter. No idea about iPhones though.

Glass is harder than ever, but the body on Pros went from glass to anodized aluminium so it’ll scratch around the edges, but won’t crack
