It’s for streaming. Filming with flat colors and static cameras compresses better.
I find that a bit weird, video compression (still) sucks for dark videos, either you need to make the bitrate higher or there will be artifacts.
I’m pretty sure no person i know notices the artifacts. It’s infuriating, i can even point it out and people just assume that’s what the video looks like.
