I’m in a state where minimum is under $11 and yes lots of people earn minimum. I moved out when minimum was around $4, I made maybe $0.15 over minimum. I had two roommates and we lived in a really terrible neighborhood but we made it work. I walked to work back then. Where I live now, walking or biking are not options. It just keeps getting worse.
