It’s really depressing. Every year I get more nostalgic for the internet of twenty years ago.
There’s so much great stuff on the modern net I never could have imagined then, but it doesn’t feel like a fun little playground anymore.
Lemmy is about the closest thing, but it still has that sense of always being watched that was just conspiracy talk back then.
