You’re not wrong but you should look into the tactics the US gov uses to manipulate poor people into becoming bullet fodder. It is a multifaceted kind of exploitation, focusing on people from bad homes and marginalized demographics.

I agree, my issue with these people is they usually vote against their self interest. Instead of uniting together they have this idea of joining the military to be better than others. They then play the game to get as many benefits from their service as possible while complaining about everyone else getting handouts. I’m surrounded by military vets and they are the most entitled people I’ve ever met. I’m forced to work with them so I have to vent here, you cannot question these people they are untouchables because of their “service”.
