I saw something similar when buying a portable scanner. I sat there and actually read the T&Cs. The arbitration clause says you automatically agree to it unless you send in a letter within like 30 or 60 days of purchase. I returned it for unrelated reasons, but the lack of regulations in the US has made these companies so stupidly infuriating to deal with.

It really has. We’re so conditioned into accepting this abusive relationship where we can’t opt out of questionable stipulations during signups and purchases.
When I saw this earlier today, I almost just mindlessly consented without a 2nd thought. What stopped me was wondering:
I’m about ready to just leave the fucking job hunt and start my own business. Been at it since last May and have landed a total of 5 interviews.
