All kids are potentially in danger from any stranger, regardless of whether they’re an RSO. Assume there is a danger until proven otherwise.
Sex offender information is public information in most places. The local newspaper is charging you for their journalism and reporting, but their source is free, public information you yourself can access.
You can be placed on the sex offender registry for public urination. RSO doesn’t mean they’re a paedophile. But until proven otherwise, keep a close eye on your kids.

Imma stop you there. Stranger Danger is responsible for socially crippling several generations now.
While I get an inkling that pedophilia is probably more common than anyone wants to admit…I also know that statistically, almost all offenses take a pre-established position of trust. Kids getting plucked off the street by strangers is incredibly rare…especially in the day and age of Flock and doorbell cameras…because you know they’d be screaming that from the rooftops every time it happened.
