I wanma brighten their days after I give them money but when I talk to them my brain goes blank cause I have nothing iseful to tell them…

i live in central europe and we don’t have the same extent of homelessness crisis as seems to be currently going on in america. there is still homeless people here but it’s far fewer and there’s often good services available that people could use, but for one reason or another don’t use.
so yeah, i do talk to homeless people sometimes but not a lot. sometimes i give them 2€ or sth but typically (when we meet on the street) they move on quickly and i don’t really know what to talk about with them anyways. i do however sometimes go to anarchist meetups etc where there are also people who are unemployed, almost-homeless etc and i do talk more to them then.

eh, i’m not sure what came first: the anarchy or the almost-homelessness. i actually suspect, in many cases, the anarchy.

you could be right. I rarely ask commies and annarchists what their ‘Origin Story’ was lol. It was the opposite for me though lol
