But I really don’t understand how we’ve decided democracy in government is necessary but not in our workplaces/economy. Somehow the objectively flawed system needs just a few more regulations? Its insanity to me.
Co-ops offer a path towards democratic control of the economy and it is more than just idealistic.
Greater job stability than traditional businesses
Higher productivity
Higher profits
More resiliant during economic downturn
Decrease in inequality
Greater job satisfaction

publicly traded companies do generally have some level of democratic control, proportional to how much of it you own.
The fact that midt workers are too poor to afford stocks is one of failing to develop generational wealth.

the choice to have more children than the parents can afford is not everyone else’s problem, the phrase “it takes a village to raise a child” is great advice for wealth concentration when taken literally (few children inheriting from many parents)
