The fan that the builder installed in my parents living room when the house was built nearly 45 years ago is still running, and is nearly silent even at full speed.
It has been running for the majority of its life and spends all but 3 months of the year at full speed.
Ceiling fans wear out only because fan manufacturers realized that they were never going to stay in business if they didn’t make them fail.

Yes and the rain they fail is because they’re a cantilevered blade in an unstable base often supported by plain bearings because they’re cheap.
