I have a pretty good time in that game just turning my brain off and fighting people. Don’t look at the chat cause that shit’s toxic at. If you focus on just having fun and don’t pay attention to your kills or stress about the objective, the game’s a blast. I have been playing on and off since launch though, so I imagine it may be different for someone just starting out

I’ve just been focusing objectives because I get my ass kicked in fights. The only success I have is sometimes lobbing arrows into crowds and doing the overhead attack with the spear.
Some people have clearly been playing for so long though they like end the game 20/4 and I genuinely don’t understand how they manage that

Honestly, positioning and awareness is more important than anything else. While it’s “possible” to fight multiple people at once, in reality, even the sweats will die quickly if dogpiled on. If you are smart with the fights you engage in (aka don’t just run in blindly), you can often find people to pick off even if you don’t have a lot of skill. While I’m decent at the game at this point, I still think most of my kills come from bonking someone who’s not expecting me to be where I am. Conversely, if I get surrounded by multiple noobs, unless I’m lucky I’m probably not getting out of that alive.

I bought that game years ago hoping it would be a less toxic alternative to Mordhau.
It wasn’t.
