So two things:

• Nintendo doesn’t do the quality check thing anymore, it’s just a seal that it’s licensed Nintendo goods - www.mariowiki.com/Official_Nintendo_Seal
• Steam provides cloud backup for free and does provide some other network tools (to my recollection).
