I grew up with it so i’m sure a decent bit of it is Nostalgia, but i also love the different historical settings and find the unique parkour based movement systems of the old ones addicting to a fault. I’ve also just been attracted to the philosophical side of it lately as well so that definitely adds to the draw for me. Plus, they’re consistent gameplay wise which is as much a blessing for me as it is a bane because i can look at it and go “Oh, hey, more of the gameplay i like” and i can trust it will be almost exactly the same. The downside is when that burnout hits, it hits a lot harder i imagine

It definitely helps too though that i had other games running at the same time. Like Dead Space was a big one i remember
