Fo is example : UK your taxes pay for it. In Germany your employers and yourself fund the trusts.

It’s not free. In the US it’s upfront and privatized and that’s what makes it expensive to the patient.

A 2,000$ Colonoscopy could be 300$ to the patient in the US but you won’t see that upfront in the UK or Germany but you’re paying the cost passively.

Yes, it’s fucking expensive because private insurances run the system. Nationalized Healthcare would be a tax based system with negotiated rates by the government and the hospitals, pre-set like your prices at a coffee shop and that’s the set rate you’re paying through taxes.

Same with Germany except it’s a social fund that everyone’s paying.
