I really enjoyed Horizon Zero Dawn, but Forbidden West felt like a less polished slog. I did eventually finish it, and it did have some rad moments, but where in the first game I did every quest and followed every line of dialogue, in the second game it felt like they purposely threw in far more dialogue than I could ever care to listen to. In order to not loath the experience, I found myself skipping a bunch of content that seemed like a huge waste of time.
