Conjecture on my part, but I took “Deliverance” to be Henry’s story in this world, based on some interviews with the devs. Plus he has a pretty solid conclusion to his story at the end of 2. So if we’re dropping “Deliverance” from the title, I’d expect it to follow someone else. There’s a pretty significant main character of KCD2 that, I’m told, the thing he’s known for in history has not happened yet by the time KCD2 ends.

Historical "spoiler"
Yes, Jan Žižka is one of the leaders in the Hussite Wars that follow soon after KCD II. I also think that the wars are going to be the theme of the next game, because the brewing conflict has been hinted at in game one and two already.
But in my opinion it is very unlikely that they will be the main character of the new game for storytelling reasons. If you are the figurehead of a movement you can’t simply walk up to the other side and explore their motives. Which is the same reason why KCD 1 and 2 features Henry and is not played from the point of view of i.e. Sigismund of Hungary. A minor character is needed, so the player can move between parties and see and understand both sides of the conflict.
The more I thought about it, the more I was agreeing with you. Hans is going to be married off for political reasons and Theresa is waiting for Henry back at Rattay. However, no matter what you do there is one loose end that is specifically brought up in every conversation at the end: Erik, who is out for Henry’s blood.

I can’t believe you’d just put spoilers for real world history in a comment like that, but at least you put it in spoiler tags. /s
Yeah, I didn’t mean to imply he’d be the main character, only that you can keep working with some of the actors they’ve already hired and get along with, keep using the locations and game systems they’ve already built, and start the player on fresh ground without having to hit his head to reset him back to a low level character sheet.

Well, it’s less about the historical events but the implications these events might have for the upcoming game that I don’t want to spoil for people.
Well, obviously Henry lost all but his smithing skills while working in Skalitz for a couple of years. Just making stuff up but here’s my take:
Henry's reaction
