ArbitraryValue@sh.itjust.works 1 week agoI thought 2 was ok (albeit not very original) but then 3 just casually killed off the protagonist of 2 and that was really lame. Was there drama involving different studios making the games, or something? Because it felt like the guys making 3 were saying “LOL, 2 didn’t matter.”

yeah I think monolith were taken off the series even during the like… expansions? I’m not sure what you’d refer to the DLC to fear 1 as?
2 was a serviceable game for sure, it just felt like it was on rails a little bit. I find it hard to articulate exactly why that is from memory but I don’t feel like downloading it again 😅.
3 went completely off the rails, however.
