Comment on [drugs] what does LSD feel like?

Ive done it a few times. You ingest it and it can take about an hour or so to kick in as it takes time for your body to absorb it and begin working. From there the effects come in waves in that you will feel its effects strongly but they subside only for them to come back strong again, and so on. This wave cycle lasts hours, typically ~8 but this window can vary of course.
During the trip I typically feel giddy, everything is fun or funny, but this relies heavily on positive stimuli.
Visually Ive never full-on hallucinated in that Ive never had an experience on LSD that was entirely different from reality. For me it has always been an augmentation of reality, like seeing patterns and/or colors on top of reality.
I also seem to get kind of congested, like I have allergies. Maybe Im slightly allergic to LSD or something though.
Its been a great time overall but the length of the effects prevents me from seeking it out again. I just dont want to be locked in to being out of it for that long.
Now, as for what popular media represents LSD as, nothing like that. I have had very strong hallucinations, like I felt as though I was in other places or seeing things that could not be possible, on Salvia concentrations. And Ive done DMT once that pretty intense as well, but LSD was more mild for me.
Consider that concentration of doses likely has a lot to do with my experiences vs others though.

Maybe LSD can give me comfort in this enshittified AI world…
Thanks for sharing! Do you have any examples on “positive stimuli”? Could it be doing stuff that I otherwise like doing? Listening to music? Watching a movie? Programming LOL…. xD

Positive stimuli can be anything you like doing, seeing, hearing, etc. I also recommend ensuring that anything you are watching/doing avoids negative topics, situations, or scenarios. I wouldnt watch a drama, or read sad stories. I want upbeat or happy things to help me keep my trip positive.
Because your mind is being chemically altered it can be difficult to control your train of thought once it starts. So by planning or curating a set of positive stimuli you can help keep those influences on a path you prefer. Id usually start by looking at funny memes, trippy videos, high bpm positive music, fun games that dont go into heavy topics (think casual or arcade type games), and Ive also had fun playing with legos.
