Some LLM assisted Fermi estimation suggests that those long European style plates would have room for plenty of characters and a QR code if you choose the right character set. As long as the camera resolution is good enough to pick out the QR code it should be good, but since they’re already issuing tickets for distracted driving for cell phones sitting inside the car, it should be good to go.

Well, thankfully there aren’t that many flock cameras in the state. Even the cops up here are kinda “ehhhhh” on them.
