  Naw, people get called tankies for pretending the USSR/China/DPRK were perfect and did no wrong.

  Your comment translated to the right would be “People will call you a nazi for saying you think we should have borders.”

  Nobody but the absolutely deranged stretches that far, but people who are that extreme do like to pretend that their entire half of the political spectrum is labeled equally extreme; strength in unity by inventing enemies, I guess.

      I never said America was free of problems.

      That’s the issue with people like you; you see zero nuance. Any criticism of any (pseudo-)socialist group must be met with Whataboutism or other bad faith arguments.

      however, what moves people is largely the economic situation. people get dissatisfied with the US today because incomes are declining for the masses.
