Kids shouldn’t be distracted from their schoolwork and even having their brains and bodies develop poorly because they don’t get fed at home.
Adults shouldn’t be distracted at work and/or committing crime to feed their families.

Nobody but the absolutely deranged stretches that far, but people who are that extreme do like to pretend that their entire half of the political spectrum is labeled equally extreme; strength in unity by inventing enemies, I guess.

however, what moves people is largely the economic situation. people get dissatisfied with the US today because incomes are declining for the masses.

yeah especially the food-at-schools issue is just so obvious. just provide free breakfast / lunch etc. doesn’t even have to be complicated, even if the schools just provided a liter of milk a day, it would be something and better than nothing.

I can at least understand where people come from when they claim that adults who can work don’t have a right to food. I don’t necessarily have to agree with it, but I understand it.
But why doom their kids? An 8 year old shouldn’t have their studies affected because they’re hungry because their parents are poor. That’s antithetical to the American Dream they tend to talk so much about.
