I am a Swede, and I do remember my dad having a petrol heater fitted to two of his SAABs, it had a timer and everything.
I get the point of that, but never really connected the two concepts…

1984@lemmy.today 20 hours agoThat remote pre-warmup is super nice in winter. I have it on my xc40 too. Getting into a warm car without ice instead of a ice cold one is a dream.
Downside is that it runs the engine for an extra 10 minutes which causes extra exhaust pollution.
