Every religion is political. Every religion to some extend is about a ‘way to live life’, disregarding if any specific religion and therefore way is a ‘good’ way to live it. Doing so means you, and fellow people part of the same religion, will try to represent and enable the desired way of life; meaning you politically engage with diverse other groups of interest and people in society trying to justify and defend your way of life.

Doesn’t really matter if its rooted in a believe or not or in a deity or a fable that got out of hand.

The only difference between believing in Christian god or believing any other deity you can come up with is: social and law-acceptance in how long people have been claiming to do it.

Oh, and of course the level of acceptance of oush-back depends on your local religion and societal background
