Mastodon (and related platforms) do not have a concept of magazines (communities), but Mbin requires that all posts should be categorized into a magazine, thus, most Mastodon posts you will find within the random magazine. They are still going to include external servers, which you can verify by checking the author of the post and seeing which server they are from.
