I get the feeling you haven’t read it. What do you think it’s about?
I have not read the of the republic as a collection’ My impression is it doesn’t make any particular useful points: philosopher kings, states, etc.
The cave though has always been interesting, more for the art and imagery it has inspired than Plato’s use of it.
