unmagical@lemmy.ml 4 hours agoNot remotely true. Having a job does not remove you from the job market. If I accept an offer for my 5th most desired position and a month later receive an offer for my 1st, I am well within my rights, means, and desire to just switch again.

The ball’s still in their court. They are welcome to change their mind, but they should conclude the immediate interaction. A “we have filled the position at this time. We’ll be in touch if anything changes.” message would be sufficient and easy to automate. They just don’t for … reasons.
