Nah, inter-instance drama about who defederated from whom and who blocked what and which instance is hosting which problematic account is pretty common. If you can be sanguine about it, it’s pretty fun.

Meh, I can think of at least 2-3 others just in the last six months to a year.
This event at least is real rather than made up.

I think part of it is how the malefactor broke the trust of open source community.
Another part of course is how they refuse to acknowledge that anything they did was wrong.
