  But then, wouldn’t a balkan person be more concerned with their wallet being stolen? Idk, a strange-looking person being the only one around the valuables while everyone else swims sounds weird.

    Don’t be looking for reason in racism. I grew up in Eastern Europe and truth be told, I can’t claim to be free of it myself. The story rings believable to me…

      All I am saying is, my racist ass would be more concerned with the strange looking man stealing my wallet and phone than somehow magically contaminate me with his dark skin
