No one is forced to buy or play it. The fact that the game didn’t need a DLC / Expansion speaks for the game. Nowadays games are developed with DLC in mind and cut off from the actual game just to sell you a part at launch. I wish more older games would get high quality DLCs like Witcher 3 does. CD Project Red does usually a phenomenal job of doing these expansions without abusing its user base.
