It’s interesting that valve never got any shit for it, it was all directed at Bethesda.

2015: Valve and Bethesda jointly introduced paid Skyrim mods through the Steam Workshop. Valve built and operated the marketplace system; Bethesda approved and participated in its implementation. The scheme was withdrawn after only a few days of massive community protest

  Because it wasn’t in 2015 with Skyrim. It was oblivion that had the first horse armor.
