Hamas, a terrorist organization, began this war with its brutal attack on October 7, 2023, which killed 1,200 innocent people and took 250 hostages. Israel, as any other country, had a right to defend itself from Hamas.
he literally opened this piece by whining about how hamas “started it” (no they didn’t) and portraying them as this evil organisation that just murders innocent people for the sake of it (no they don’t).
I don’t care that after almost 2 years of brutal slaughter, some of the most heinous crimes in west asia to date he finally started to call it genocide so as to not lose the last bit of leftist cred he somehow still has. Especially if he doesn’t oppose weapon shipments to pissrahell and simps for a two-state solution, which definitionally is still zionist.

He refused to call it a genocide until 2025, I wouldn't call that consistent. Dragging his heels, dodging questions about it, calling it a "legal term" until then.
And when he finally called it a genocide, doing so started by condemning Hamas, calling it "Netanyahu's war" as if it's not widely supported (polls have shown that it is).
He supports Iron Dome funding/access (unless that changed recently, I'd be happy to hear that but it won't change my mind on him being a liberal Zionist) https://www.sanders.senate.gov/press-releases/prepared-remarks-sanders-on-ending-unfettered-military-aid-to-israel-and-restoring-unrwa-funding/
Interview (Yes, I know it's from 2017, but it doesn't seem like this opinion has changed as far as I can tell) https://fileditchfiles.st/beta16/54fd6b222f3c42d1a1f6/bernie_sanders_equal_rights_for_palestinians_and-one-state-solution.mp4
More recently, from 2025: https://fileditchfiles.st/beta16/9dbace77bfa33654edfc/Bernie-Sanders-Israel-Jewish-state.mp4
In my view, Bernie Sanders is consistently a liberal Zionist.
Fuck Zionists, including the "liberal" ones.
