Comment on Why did/does Oman not raise a stink about Iran also closing their half of the strait?
AmidFuror@fedia.io 2 weeks agoThe other commenter is undoubtedly thinking about the position of the vast majority of Oman, which is disconnected from the portion shown in red and is further south on the Gulf of Oman.
It's an oddity of geography that Oman has that bit.

Yeah, its definitely an interesting area. Seems to be mostly unused as well, apart from a tiny airport town. The runway is almost as long as the town itself.
