Dude at least they attempted to scoop it out. My better half cuts it in half and SQUEEZES it out because she’s decided it’s better/easier than cutting it out properly. Now I walk into the kitchen and find the mutilated remains of our avocados.

I’ve started squeezing it out more often. saves me having to clean a spoon and if it’s the right firmness, doesn’t really leave anything behind.
what I’m saying is that your partner has a skill issue.
now, there is a trick to it - slice the flesh first. don’t just grab a half and start squeezing - you have to give it structure that wants to easily slip out. do a grid pattern and the pillars just pop right out.
