Why are you blaming them for infection when you said you started using it after you popped it and it had gotten infected.
Using it on an infected cold sores doesn’t sound like a very good idea to me.

Because a cold sore is a viral infection. The medicine says it’s an antiviral and reduces healing time to 2.5 days.

For the herpes virus, yes. But your infection could have bacterial.
