It’s not a thing we’re going to recover from quickly. It’ll probably take a generation - if not several. We are continuing to squander reputation and trust that has been built over the course of more than a century. The damage being done here cannot be overstated. It’s geopolitically catastrophic. We are creating a power vacuum, and Europe isn’t stepping up nearly aggressively enough.
