Warl0k3@lemmy.world 1 hour agoI think you’re overestimating how much people in the US care about soccer. In 4 years nobody here is even going to remember we were in the world cup - making it extra ridiculous that 47 tried to interfere.

Well…I think in 4 years, we’ll remember that we were in the World Cup. It’ll have to come up during the coverage. I just think that because Trump’s decision (which I don’t agree with, for the record!) didn’t affect the outcome, it probably won’t be worth mentioning.
