I mean, I honestly didn’t consider the flap was protecting me from catching the zipper on the clothing underneath.
But, that said, the flap is MUCH closer to the zipper than my shirt. So, it’s like:
With Flap:
Chance of zIpper catching on shirt: 0%
Chance of zipper catching on flap: 30%
Without flap:
Chance of zIpper catching on shirt: 5% Chance of zipper catching on flap: 0%
Some experimentation may need to be conducted.
