Some people are just assholes though. There was some junkies poking used needles in lemons in stores here to clean them some years ago, even though they could get free needles

bryophile@lemmy.zip 17 hours agoOf course we do, but at least in Western Europe we take better care of them. There’s generally social welfare programs, shelters, etc. In Amsterdam there’s shelters where they can safely use crack so they have access to clean supplies.
The question “like we DON’T have” is kind of silly. It’s about how predominant the problem is, not whether we also have a couple.
The US has several times the crack user per capita compared to Europe, depending on where in Europe.
