IDK if you’re just venting or not, or if I’m just blind, but I feel like I don’t have this issue with my TV. Not without watching 4:3 content anyway. What are you watching that has bars?

Dune is 2.39:1. Bars on top and bottom. Greater width for greater peripheral immersion.
