I would also like to point out that the NHS 111 helpline DOES NOT have a list of cooling centres to escape the extreme heat.
We’re just walking straight into societal collapse and nobody’s doing the slightest thing about it.

I mean, millions of scientists… but no one else.
Well, some politicians don’t have their head completely up their ass, but not any others.
Well… significant portions of the population are at least trying to mitigate it in what limited fashion they’re allowed to… but that’s it.
Or rather, the ruling capital class is doing nothing about it and in fact seemingly hastening the effects in order to glorify themselves and solidify their power over others. And while there is significant scientific and popular support for doing something about it… most just aren’t willing to give up the comforts those capitalists graciously sell to us to do enough to stop it.
