I just recently stopped using my iPhone 7
not only wasn’t it supported by ios, apple and my apps couldn’t be updated it was physically wearing out
seriously, for the price they charge phones should last 20 years and be repairable

ugh.just got sent a nasty “update you PHONE or we BLOOOCK”. IT’s an iphone 11. IOS 18 supports fcking 4g 000. Shut up. I don’t want liquid ass. I’m old, I can’t see shit on it.

I used my 4s until it literally became unusable due to the satellite sync issue. Still got it here, one day I shall get around to jailbreaking it and turning it into the music player for the garage.
Optus are just using the “Make sure 000 still works” to force claims of obsolescence. Cunce.
I’m of the same attitude about phones, I really don’t care about the latest

Oh shit. I didn’t know they did that. I’ve been hunting for an ios 17 phone (jailbreak). Sucks they can force you to upgrade.

I think they’re about to find out you can’t.
I’m guessing the logic is “Oh but you see it’s out of support we can’t guaranteeeeee it will still call 000”
It might work on an old as hell model that actually has a 3g antennae, but the router patch was put in an IOS that predates my fucking phone so good fucking luck claiming that shit.

Fight them to the fucking end!
A few days ago an A11 and A12 boot exploit was found, so maybe that has them spooked.

It’s not their place to be spooked though. “Does this phone as sold support 4g provider hopping for 000” is where their concerns should fucking end.
