Entertainmeonly@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 weeks agoAs previously pointed out by another user, if you are talking the US than, the Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Act of 1996 shields donated food. It is absolutely a choice not to donate it.

That leaves plenty of room to be sued actually. It provides limited liability, not zero liability, and would be put to the test almost immediately.

It has not though and it’s beem a law since the fucking 90s. Get real. If it was doing to fail in court it would have already.
