So you’d rather hit the dash/steering wheel with ur face at 50mph than break ur glasses? Pretty sure they’d explode in ur face regardless. I mean I’ve been punched in the face before whilst wearing glasses. Highly doubt the lenses would shatter in your eye, most likely the frames will snap and they will break around your face. No doubt uncomfortable but less likely to mutilate your face 🤷.
