As we all know, the first duty of any government is to protect the nation.

The first duty of any government should be to represent its people. “Protecting the nation” should never come at the expense of its people.

The excuse of funding shortfalls is disingenuous; funds are there but are being spent on lower priorities such as net zero and welfare.

The author’s priorities clearly do not lie with the welfare of the people or the environment that they live in.
